Roof replacement and insulation in Devauden
Devauden, Monmouthshire
The roof stripped off the house and the annex, insulated from above with PIR board and SuperFOIL, re-tiled, and the chimney rebuilt with new lead flashing.
Insulating from the outside means the roof comes off, 100mm PIR boards go down with a 25mm breathable gap, then a layer of SuperFOIL over the rafters before the battens and tiles go back.
The chimney had weathered past saving, so it came down and was rebuilt from the roof line up, then flashed in new lead.
